Supporting teens and their families
The teenage years bring academic pressure, social media, friendships, identity questions, and often family changes such as divorce. Teens don’t always have the words for what they’re feeling. Therapy offers them a safe, nonjudgmental place to talk, and gives parents guidance on how to help.
What we work on
- Anxiety and stress
- Low mood and withdrawal
- Adjusting to divorce or a new family structure
- Self-esteem and body image
- Friendships, peer pressure, and social media
- Communication with parents
How sessions work
Sessions are mostly one-on-one with your teen, with parent check-ins so you stay informed while your teen’s trust is respected. We agree on how information is shared at the start, so everyone knows what to expect.
Frequently asked questions
Will I know what my teen talks about?
Parents are kept informed about overall progress and any safety concerns. The details of what a teen shares stay private, which helps them open up. We agree on these boundaries together at the start.
Can sessions happen online?
Yes. Secure video sessions are available for teens in Florida, which can be easier around school schedules.
